This alloy has the following properties:

Duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy is a duplex stainless steel composed of 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance. The contents of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen in the duplex steel 2205 make it highly resistant to point corrosion and gap corrosion in oxidizing and acidic solutions. The two-phase microstructure of stainless steel is helpful to improve the stress corrosion cracking resistance of stainless steel. In the presence of certain temperature, stress, oxygen and chloride, chloride stress corrosion occurs in austenitic stainless steel

2205 applications include:

1. Used for manufacturing pressure vessels, high-pressure storage tanks, high-pressure pipes, heat exchangers (chemical processing industry)

2. Used for manufacturing oil and gas pipeline and heat exchanger pipe fittings
